Are smartphones sufficiently secure for payment transactions?
Swiff meets international banking and payment transaction standards. The Swiff reader is PCI compliant and encrypts all data before sending it to our PCI compliant gateway. No useful data is stored on the phone or on the card reader. The only data stored in the history tab is the data that is sent back by the gateway. This data cannot be used as it is masked. The history data can be disabled for maximum security purpose.
In addition, Swiff provides an addition layer of security with its 2-Factor authentication (2FA) which delivers a higher level of authentication assurance to the user. Through a signing-on process, with a (Personal Identification Number) PIN and Password, we are able to establish an identity and indication of any possible fraudulent use of credit card transaction. -
What happens if my mobile phone and card reader are stolen?
If your mobile phone and card reader are stolen, no one will be able to access your credit card details as Swiff does not capture the credit card details.
